FInd Your Warrior - Yoga with Carrie Schick
What does it mean to "find your warrior"? For me, it means having the courage to look deep within myself and commit to being a strong, powerful, vulnerable and loving individual. It means feeding my soul by loving my family and friends unconditionally and moving my body everyday whether it's a yoga practice or jumping on the trampoline with my kids. It also means making the right decisions about what I drink and eat to fuel and nourish my body. Finding my warrior means making mistakes and learning from them, constantly looking for the teachable moments in my life. It means loving me when I do make those mistakes and commit to trying harder next time; then letting go of the guilt, suffering or disappointment of that mistake. Just as yoga is a practice and never a perfect, finding my warrior is a life journey and never a final destination. There will be days that I have not only found my warrior, but I am holding it up strong above my head like a world champion boxer holds up his ornately decorated belt feeling like the king of the world. And then there will be days that are completely opposite and I feel as though I may have lost my way or purpose. Finding My Warrior, for me, means accepting either of those days for what they are and still be able to show love and gratitude for every one and every thing around me.
